Paving

There are three popular methods when it comes to paving your driveway.

Grade & Pave

This service is required when there is already a sufficient sub-base.

  • A light excavation may be required to loosen the top of the gravel in order to grade water away from your home and to achieve 2.5" of room for the asphalt installation.

  • Once the grade is set, we will then compact the entire surface with commercial packer plates for maximum compaction.

  • Your driveway will be paved at 2.5 inches with HL3 fine commercial grade asphalt, and then compressed to 2 inches.

  • All the edges of the driveway are hand tampered to ensure maximum strength.

Peel and Pave

This service is required when a driveway has at least 10-12 inches of gravel sub-base, and has had natural settlement

  • We will remove and dispose of existing asphalt

  • Then, we will compact the entire driveway with commercial packer plates for maximum compaction.

  • A top dressing of 5/8 granular will be placed on the driveway to achieve room for 2" of HL3 fine asphalt compacted from 2.5"

  • All the edges of the driveway are hand tampered to ensure maximum strength.

Full Excavation & Pave

This service is required when a new driveway is needed from scratch, or an existing driveway has been installed on a clay bed with an insufficient base.

  • We will excavate the entire area too a minimum of 12" to 15".

  • We supply and install geo matting on a clay bed to prevent the clay from pushing up into the new gravel sub-base.

  • Next, we supply and install 6 inches of granular B and compact it in layers.

  • Then, we supply and instal 6 inches of granular B and once again compact it in layers.

  • The entire surface will be graded to ensure water runs away from your home.

  • Finally, the driveway will be paved with HL3 fine commercial grade asphalt at 2.5" compressed to a 2" finish.

  • All edges are hand tampered to ensure maximum strength.
